Thursday September 28th was my last day as a physician at the Great Falls Clinic, and it was very bittersweet. I have been there for almost 14 years. I didn’t really plan on leaving, but then my dream of helping people create vibrant health through the principles and tools of functional medicine began growing. That was almost 2 years ago, and what a ride it has been. There’s so much to learn and at times it feels like I’ve been trying to drink from a fire hydrant.
I want to thank the Great Falls Clinic for supporting and honoring my dream. The administration team, my partners and colleagues, the amazing staff, and most of all my patients have all been so encouraging and supportive. You understand this burning passion I have, and that I reached a point that no longer had a choice – I had to make the leap. So I did. Thank you for letting me work along side you and care for you, I will miss you greatly.
To my new team at Thriven, and to my fantastic members there, who are wholeheartedly pursuing and investing in their own health – thank you. Every day you inspire me, lift me up, show me the way, challenge me, and encourage me. I am growing and learning by leaps and bounds. Sometimes it is uncomfortable, even scary. I make mistakes, fall down, feel scared. I am way outside my old comfort zone most days. There are days I need to retreat for a little bit, but then I re-group and keep pressing on. I’ve heard the only way is forward, and that is how I approach this whole new world.
I found a huge neon yellow sign on my windshield when I left work Thursday (thanks Michelle and Christy and Greyson!) that said “Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life!” I can’t wait to see what happens next.
